Hi, I’m Kash Brown, founder of KashVocate. I’m an East Palo Alto native (shoutout to “Little Nairobi” in Silicon Valley) now thriving in Austin, TX. I’m a woman in tech, entrepreneur, rollerblader, empty nester, and adventurous traveler who’s passionate about empowering others to live their truth and advocate for themselves.

This space is all about transformation—advocating for ourselves, speaking our truth, living with purpose, and doing it all unapologetically.
As a Leo (born on 8/8, the luckiest day of the year!), the lioness within me embodies strength, courage, leadership, and resilience. She’s been my guide through life’s challenges, helping me stand tall in my authenticity.
But there’s another side to me—the butterfly. Did you know a caterpillar goes through four cycles to become a butterfly? Transformation isn’t easy, but it’s necessary to create something beautiful. This balance of strength and grace inspires me to embrace growth and evolution with patience and compassion.
The Real Me
I haven’t always brought my whole self to the table. My son loves to tease me about how my voice changes when I’m speaking to colleagues, and he’s right—it’s a habit rooted in years of code-switching. I even had someone on Instagram tell me, “You’re such a vibe in person; you should show that side of yourself online.” That comment stuck with me because it reminded me that sometimes we wear masks or let imposter syndrome hold us back.
But not anymore.
KashVocate is a space to break free from those limitations. It’s about turning off the code-switching, putting away the masks, and stepping fully into our authentic selves. Whether it’s in your career, health, relationships, or personal growth, it’s time to own who you are and live out loud.
